Bike charities

Hull has three bike charities operating in the city - great news if you’re after a bargain while helping a good cause. They all work the same way – taking bikes donated by members of the public, refurbishing them to a high standard and then reselling them. Because their stock is donated, you can usually pick up a really good bike for a fraction of what it would cost new. And whether you’re donating or buying, you’ll be supporting a good cause. All three charities give volunteers/trainees the chance to learn useful skills and work experience in a growing industry.

R-evolution and Salvation Army Recycles also both offer repairs and accessories, and R-evolution is also leading the way with bikes for hire and loan from a growing network of community hubs.
